Heart wrenching. So much brutality. Do you think if they come, look, and listen, that they will truly see and hear? Unless it’s their loved one’s remains splayed open on the table, I do not think they will understand. Even then, some may still turn away, strap on their weapon, and pretend all is well. I have to believe that if they truly "saw" and "heard" it could shift the momentum, but I am probably naive.
